Singapore (again)

Wow it’s been ages since i updated my trip review, well this trip i’m about to write is not different from my previous trip to singas, what makes it different is this time we spent one night at a backpacker hotel, i booked it through it’s called Footprints Hostel. It was actually my first time stay in a backpacker hostel.

Anyhoo we better start from beginning, i did this trip on dec 2010 arrived there at 2 am due to my flight delay, i flew with mandala air, it was 4 hrs delay but actually i couldn’t complain because i got promo price only 50,000 idr or about 5 usd fly from jakarta to singapore. I caught taxi from airport to footprints, costed around 15 sgd i think, i can’t remember exactly. When we were checking in they gave us clean sheet, we stayed with 6 other ppl. The bathroom is very clean, there’s hot shower water, we had safebox and everything. Its location is convenient, near 7eleven and safe too considering i was wandering alone there at 2 am and came back safely. I booked for 3 nights but we only stayed for one night but it was good stay in there.

Our next hotel is… oh gee i cant remember its name. We booked it via It’s in Geylang area, lorong 16 if i’m not mistaken. More crowded place but i didn’t feel comfy as there looks like some sort of prostitution area, with small hostels etc. Despite of those the hotel itself is nice, it’s not so big and definitely not a prostitute hotel, they cleaned our room everyday, we had hot shower water, hairdryer, and cable tv. I think it costed us 60 SGD per night. What i like about Geylang area is near to MRT station, many restaurants with various price and food from chinese to halal food (usually indian).

On this trip we went to Mustafa Center, i never seen so many indian man in one place like that, in the park, on the street, and only a few woman inside Mustafa. We also went to several museums, like Changi Museum, Singapore Art Museum and Science Centre Museum in Jurong. It was really a good museum trip! This time we were just enjoying our time, reading WW2 history, titling our head on paintings, even seeing little kids playing with ball machine sculpture. Last place we went is orchard road, we always go there around christmast because it’s beautiful at night. I hope we can come to Singas again this year.
